Vernon Blackmore reopened The Duck, our stylish, country dining pub in 2019. Vernon and our dedicated kitchen team prepare and cook everything properly from scratch using the best of local, fresh and seasonal produce. We offer an appetising, regularly-changing menu with a great selection of tasty dishes, whether you are looking for fish, meat, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options.
The Duck is easily accessible by train (Wickham Market station is over the road!) or car. Situated seven miles from Woodbridge and close to the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, could you find a more perfect rural location?
The Duck has something to offer all ages and occasions, perhaps you’ve popped in after a morning at the village auction rooms or are visiting for a family outing. Whether it’s a leisurely lunch or dinner, a romantic table for two, a large celebration with loved ones, an afternoon relaxing al fresco in our gardens or just a quiet drink by the fire, we hope you will enjoy being with us.

Everything here is great
